What This Site Does
Georgia makes many arrest and booking records accessible, but the public path depends on the stage of a case. The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office operates the adult jail and its current inmate lookup. The public roster can show custody and intake fields while hiding booking photographs. The Sheriff also handles defined requests through GovQA. The Georgia Department of Corrections publishes a separate offender search for people sentenced to state custody, and the courts carry the case after release.
These pages identify those custodians, link to their official portals, and explain what each record can and cannot answer. The focus is access to public information, not sensational display. No booking photograph is rehosted here, and no gallery is maintained.
What You Can Find
The resources are organized around the actual DeKalb County systems and its three mapped cities.
- The home page follows a current custody search, booking-record request, state offender lookup, court disposition, and records-law path.
- Most Wanted Fugitives explains how to verify a warrant when no current Sheriff wanted list or public name portal is available.
- Crime News describes DeKalb, Brookhaven, Stonecrest, and Decatur reporting and how to trace a story back to an official record.
- Stonecrest, Brookhaven, and Decatur pages explain which police agency holds an incident record and how custodial bookings reach DeKalb County Jail.
- Supporting pages state the site's private status, privacy practices, terms, contact limits, and legal disclaimers.
What We Cannot Do
DeKalb County Busted Mugshots is privately operated. It has no connection to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, DeKalb County Police, any city police department, the Georgia Department of Corrections, or another government agency.
- It cannot release, hold, transfer, or locate a person in custody.
- It cannot post bond, schedule a visit, send money, or change a court date.
- It cannot give legal advice or decide whether a warrant or record belongs to someone.
- It cannot promise that a phone number, fee, address, roster entry, or portal will remain unchanged.
Only the originating Sheriff, police department, court, or corrections office can confirm the current official record. A booking allegation is not a conviction, and every person is presumed innocent unless a court establishes guilt.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some search boxes on these pages are supplied by third-party providers. Those providers set their own pricing, results, and data practices. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, a referral fee may be received to help keep the reference site available. That relationship does not give control over the partner's records or the government sources linked elsewhere.
